Tongue twisters by level

Pick a level, say the tongue twister out loud and time yourself. Start slowly and clearly, and only speed up once you stop tripping over it.

How to practise tongue twisters

  1. Slowly first. Pronounce every sound with exaggerated clarity, as if someone were lip-reading you.
  2. Then whisper. A whisper doesn’t let you hide behind your voice, so your articulation has to work.
  3. Then at full voice and normal speed. Only speed up once you stop stumbling.
  4. Watch the word endings. The last sound of a word should be as clear as the first.

5–7 minutes a day is enough: 3–4 tongue twisters, 3–5 times each. Change your set once a week.
